election day morning!!!

we were out at six o something this morning . . and the line went past the acting school entrance doors! i wasn't sure if it was longer than it was for obama, or if we were just out a few minutes later (here's 2008).

the line actually moved rather quickly . . though it did feel cold!

everyone was in a good mood and several of us were taking pictures and selfies . . a man standing behind us saw me taking the pic of greg and morgana and offered to take one of the three of us.

morgana after voting . . i still find it strange to just color in a bubble . . it felt more productive to flip the lever and then pull the red handled bar across when voting in the old machines.

happy selfie pics with westbeth neighbors . .

it is a girl thing . . it's incredibly exciting to be voting for the first woman u. s. presidential candidate.

and it was morgana's first election! (korrina's first election was very exciting also . . it was right after the hurricane and it was for obama's second term.)

  1. We still have levers here and there are no lines! Jonathan and Peter voted at the fire department hall, but not at 6:00 a.m. They are not open that early. And he did pass his road test!

    2. Peter just told me that they got rid of them, too, now. No levers anymore.

Thanks for the congratulations. The guy who administered the test was very rude and unfriendly, basically ignored Peter, didn't even say hi. A girl from our church took the test there and failed the test. I am glad he let Jonathan pass. Jonathan was disappointed that he didn't do everything right. He did not stop the right way when parallel parking (according to the tester) and bumped into the curb when doing a three-point-turn, but those were just minor things. He had not practiced three-point-turns at all. The funny thing about the place where the test was, was that there was just a sign that said that the test starts here. No office, no bench, no nothing. All parents had to stand and wait there. What if it rains?
