our friend has been keeping track of all the outdoor music concerts this summer . . there's been jazz on pier 45 for a few friday evenings now . . last week's group he wasn't crazy about (so i heard), but this week's was terrific.
there were a lot of smiling faces and happy dancers . .
and it was a beautiful night with a cool breeze.
we walked along the river to the high line and were treated to gelato . .
and had to take a detour going home as obama was on his way to the new whitney museum.
